Exploring Self-Determination
Understand how the program works, explore your options, and identify questions to discuss with your Regional Center team. We help you consider how Self-Determination may fit your needs and priorities.
Preparing to Transition
Move from initial planning toward implementation with support developing goals, organizing documentation, preparing a spending plan, and identifying potential providers.
Strengthening Existing Supports
Revisit services that aren’t meeting your needs, address gaps, or prepare for changes such as leaving school, moving, or finding new providers. We help adapt your approach as circumstances evolve.
OUR Services
Self-Determination Guidance & Getting Started
We explain the process in clear, understandable language, including individual budgets, spending plans, Financial Management Services (FMS), and the roles of your planning team.
We help organize your priorities and prepare for conversations with your Regional Center Service Coordinator.
Individual Program Plan Preparation & Advocacy
We review existing plans, identify service gaps, help develop meaningful outcomes, and organize information about support needs. We prepare individuals and families for IPP meetings and participate when requested, helping keep the individual’s voice and priorities central to the discussion.
Provider Research & Service Coordination
We help identify and evaluate potential providers and community resources that align with the individual’s goals and approved plan. These may include independent living support, employment services, recreation, transportation, personal assistance, and communication or behavioral supports. We coordinate introductions and next steps to help put services into place.
Ongoing Support & Planning Adjustments
We provide continued guidance as goals, providers, and circumstances change. We help monitor implementation, address service gaps, coordinate communication, and prepare for planning updates so supports continue to reflect the individual’s needs.
Person-Centered
Planning
We help individuals communicate what matters to them and develop goals that reflect their strengths, preferences, and aspirations. Planning may address daily living, employment, education, recreation, relationships, communication, transportation, and health and safety needs. We adapt the process to support each person’s participation and decision-making.
Individual Budget & Spending Plan Assistance
We help translate goals and available funding into an organized spending plan. Our support includes reviewing budget questions, researching service costs, considering staffing and schedules, and coordinating with your Regional Center and selected FMS provider. We also help revisit plans as needs change.
Independent Facilitation — Service Expansion in Progress
Prosper is expanding into Independent Facilitation, supported by additional specialized training in California’s Self-Determination Program. This offering will bring together person-centered planning, resource identification, meeting support, and coordination of approved services. Contact us to discuss current availability and scope.
Experience Supporting Individuals with Complex Needs
Our experience includes supporting people with significant intellectual and developmental disabilities, complex behavioral and sensory needs, limited verbal communication, mobility challenges, and substantial personal care needs.

Getting Started Consultation
An individualized consultation for people and families exploring Self-Determination. We discuss your circumstances, explain the planning process, and identify practical next steps and questions for your Regional Center team.
Planning & Transition Support
Focused assistance preparing for a particular stage of the process. Your engagement may include person-centered planning, IPP meeting preparation, spending plan development, or provider research, with a defined scope based on your priorities.
Ongoing Self-Determination Support
A continuing partnership for individuals and families seeking help coordinating services, reviewing progress, communicating with providers, and responding to changing needs. We establish a scope and meeting schedule tailored to the level of support you want.
